TEAM

Science lover, Public Health enthusiast, amateur dancer, talkative, and clown in free time. Patricia holds a master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Instituto Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz, Brazil). In her master’s degree she studied the immune response induced by different adjuvants and its application in the development of a subunit vaccine against leptospirosis. She is crazy about immunology and vaccinology and moved from the wet to the dry side when she met the Systems Vaccinology. She was impressed by the possibility of evaluating the response to different disorders as a whole. She sees Systems Biology as an exciting challenge and is developing her PhD project at the CSBL at the University of São Paulo (USP, Brazil) on integrative analyses of immunomic, transcriptomic and reactogenic data using systems biology and machine learning approaches to decipher the immune and molecular signatures of the human response elicited by a highly protective Ebola vaccine.
