Curious about data, health, technology, and how science can serve society, Sarah Freire is a master's student through Health Sciences program at the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Science and Technology from Ilum School of Science (CNPEM), where she led and collaborated on award-winning research in machine learning applied to clinical data, bioinformatics, and sustainability. With international research experience in Spain and a strong interest in ethical AI, her work explores how computational models can improve the understanding and management of obesity and other public health challenges. Her current research uses the MIMIC-IV database to investigate the clinical impact of obesity through predictive modeling and data science.
