Stephan Lloyd Watkins is a leading protein design scientist with extensive experience in structural biology, molecular dynamics simulations, and applied structural biological software. Integrating computational modeling with experimental approaches to generate functional, stable, and specific proteins, correlated cellular biology and structural Omics, he strives to define cross discipline work at a structural base. His work ranges from structure prediction to the understanding systems biology at the structural level. His work utilizes DNA, RNA, and protein structure or dynamics to explain cellular biochemistry, physiology, synthetic biology, and disease at various levels of resolution. In addition to structural work at many levels, he also gained experience in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, cell biology techniques, and microscopy. He has also conducted x-ray crystallographic studies at several synchrotron or linear accelerators in the US and Europe.
